For the past 2 days, we have been learning about different types of cells and the different parts, or organelles inside of a cell. Yesterday, we finished up the notes from chapter 3, section 1, and made a Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting Bactria and Archaea, which are the 2 types of Prokaryotic cells. I have attached the Venn diagram that we filled out in class below.
Today, the students read chapter 3, section 2 (pages 68-74) and filled out a chart organizing the information about the different organelles in Eukaryotic cells. The homework for the weekend is to draw, color and label a picture of an animal cell (students can use page 69 as a guide). The organelle chart and diagram are due on Monday. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
